I haven't finished this yet and I probably won't get a chance to do so until tomorrow night or Monday (relatives make me feel distinctly un-fluffy) but I just want to mention that I actually had to stop and think about who died last book. I forgot! I was just like "wait...Sirius died two books ago...OH YEAH! Dumbledore!"

Lol, I appreciate that you're reading it at all, considering the ship and it's inherent obnoxiousness.

You forgot Dumbledore died???? How could you?? *giggle* That was like, the only major plot event in HBP. However, I stand by may claim that all of it was necessary, if only as some much-needed backstory.

Do you ever worry that good 'ol Harry Potter is a bit too altruistic? Just a thought. ;-)

Mmm, I've considered it. Obviously I've reconciled it. Here's what I think. Harry values his friends. The things he does; he does to save his friends. Maybe JKR wants to push the altruistic reasons, maybe not. But what I see is a kid who's not going to let some evil jerk take away the things he loves.

Fair enough. I, myself, have had to reconcile differences with many creators since I love comic books and find, all too often, that the writers stray bit to far left for my tastes. Of course, I always get to cherish the fact that Steve Ditko, co-creator of my favorite superhero Spider-Man, was and is, in fact, Objectivist ( ... )

I found this really fabulous. Also, I heartily enjoy that song. I have the Mod21 version on my computer.

Thank you! I love that song too. I got the idea from Mod 21, actually. We started learning that song and I went "hey..." Emily has the solo this year. ;)
