Ooh, I like this a lot. It reminds me a bit of the very end of The Lord of the Rings trilogy - bittersweet and moving. I really liked the simplicity and the power of Hermione's thoughts: no flowery language, just grief.

Effectively done version of Hermione returning home after the war, somewhat at a loss to know how she feels. Nice contrast between what's said and what's thought (a little bit of an abrupt ending though?).

Thank you! I had a lot of trouble deciding how to end it, mostly because I wanted to emphasize how hard it must be to live in limbo between two worlds. So after she asked her parents if they knew what was going on, I decided to just cut it off. *shrug*

Hi! I don't read too much Hermione-centric but it was worth it. It would be nice to know a little bit about who lived and who died, seeing as all the people that have been lost are mentioned a few times. But nice work!

I didn't include who lived or died because I wasn't really sure myself, to be honest. I know Jo's said that *important* characters will die, but I don't really know what she means by that. Anyway, in my mind, the trio, Remus, and Ginny all made it through all right, if that helps. :-\
