IRN and Back to Normal

Since my mind is all on chem right now because I have to memorize common ions for Ad Chem by Thursday... Here's a chem question.

What is the chemical formula for Sulfate? (no googling it)

That's easy SO4.

What are you doing in Chem BTW? Have you done redox reactions and thermochemistry?

redox reactions~ no
thermochemistry~ I did some last year, but I have only been back at school for a week, and Ad Chem only meets twice a week, so we haven't gotten much farther than the ions yet. We started quantum numbers today.

P.S. You didn't put the charge in the formula.

SO4 2- is the correct answer.
