What is 6x^3 - 15x^2 - 87x - 30 divided by 2x + 5? (Hint: the answer is still a polynomial)

That is correct. Man, I'm having a challenge finding problems that take you guys more than two seconds. Honestly... Isn't math great?

Hahaha! I learned long division in third grade too, and hadn't used it since. That made doing this problem rather difficult. I like synthetic division better, it's much easier.

As a side note, I should probably post only math and a few science problems, as those seem to get the most replies. Any thoughts?

Definitely. The questions on books are no good if you haven't read the book and history is kind of a specific subject that most of us don't know enough specifics to really answer. Math and science are the most fun anyway.
