Blue lightning crackled on the track as the train pulled silently away from the station. Less than three seconds later it was a blur in the distance, barely visible through the nicotine-stained plexiglass of the platform. The air was hot and still in the underground- stagnant. No time. They mostly get written at work, when I have a spare 20 minutes. I do intend to continue this one, though. Maybe. Think of it as a story in installments. Also I wasn't aware anyone still read this.

Sorry, I have tried, but I can't come up with a continuation to this. It just doesn't have the impetus that the beginning did. One of these days I will manage to get a whole story idea down. I have a good one about a chess genius tramp who can see the future when he's high on heroin, but again, it's more a beginning than a full story. And one about a superhero asylum where the patients solve crimes, but that's embryonic right now. It involves a super-pyrokinetic who has to be heavily sedated or he goes on an arson spree.
