I love it. I hear there is an abandoned zoo in LA, can you confirm or deny?

well, yes, there is, but it's not quite as obscure and adventuresome as it sounds. there's a row of cages built into a sculpted hillside in griffith park that are no longer in use. it's adjacent to where the current zoo is, but also facing a well trafficked public picnic ground, so it's not the kind of place where you can conduct forbidden rituals or other forms of underground mischief. and you can't get into the cages, which are effectively locked. more exciting in terms of abandoned tourist sites would be the ruins of seaworld in san pedro, but i'm not sure what's left down there at the moment. it may be all gone.
