Hi, John! I read this here entry of yours with interest, being both a Twitter-head and an LJ user myself. Personally, I think there's a place for both microblogging and ordinary blogging: in my case, I write little details of my life in real time on Twitter, then write about the important events of my life in more detail in my LJ. I've joined Audioboo, where you can follow others and send them private audio messages as well as posting public ones, I currently have no intention of joining Facebook, signing up for 4Square, or creating another blog, but there's a place for all those things for anybody who wants to use them: I'm sure you had good reasons for signing up for a lot of things a few years back. As for me, however much I use Twitter and Audioboo, I'll definitely continue blogging on LJ, for a good while to come at least.
