Muhammad Hassan, we hardly knew ye

From WWE.com:

"Due to the unfortunate terrorist attacks in London on Thursday, July 7, which coincided with our pre-produced WWE SmackDown! program, UPN has asked us to be sensitive to the usage of the Arab-American character, Muhammad Hassan. They ended up making the angle too smart for the room. Did you see the promo Hassan cut the week after the 'terrorist' spot? Brilliant, be basically pointed out that the masked men weren't arabs(they were WWE guys like Val Venis and some OVW workers), or terrorists it was the media's perception that made them both things. But they couldn't do it on UPN, and kinda flubbed it because if they could've shown video to prove that those guys were pretty much covered head to toe it would've worked better ( ... )

That would actually be one hell of an angle to bring them back like that. And Davairi is damn good, too. He just looks like a 12 year old boy when he's in his ring gear.

The Dudleys being cut loose pissed me off big time. They need to bring them back. Fuck Brock Lesnar.

Jam, shoot me an e-mail (reverendsick at gmail dot com). I've been trying to get ahold of you for months.

I've found myself getting increasingly bored with wrestling and its angles as of late. I'm getting tired of them bringing back old guys instead of developing current ones. The whole Animal return didn't even have me marking out, and I usually mark out for the return of old guys. It's just getting boring. I think the whole Animal/Heidenreich is a disgrace to the original LoD and is obviously just a short-term angle to put over the new LoD DVD. Smackdown in general is crap. The whole Eddie/Rey angle now is tiring. When you build up a "secret" for a month it better be incredible or it's just going to be a letdown. Considering the quality of WWE writing lately, it's probably going to be something obvious, like Eddie being the son's real father or something. Batista was getting better by the week on Raw, but now that he's moved to Smackdown he's hardly being used (like 5 minutes each show or something). Christian has great potential but is also not being used. Taker shows up for like one show a month. Assan was a great heel but they fucked ( ... )
