I like some of Evanescence's songs but haven't really been into the band or know much about them or Amy Lee, so I don't really have an opinion on her, although that article doesn't really make her sound like a very nice/mature person.

Well, none of the posters to that thread seem to be overly blessed with maturity. There hasn't been a band in the world that hasn't had its legions of stupid, incoherent "anti-fans" whose most deeply held sentiment is that "[BAND NAME] SUCKS!11!!!!11!1!" repeated endlessly in larger fonts and with more exclamation points.

The truth of the matter is: If a band/artist sells as well as (pick one) Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, Backstreet Boys, or any other of today's most-love-to-hate bands, someone must like them. Jesus Tapdancing Christ, admit that some people have different tastes than you do and that that doesn't make them inferior! Or, y'know, in other words: grow the fuck up
