HOME FROM IRELAND! PICTURE POST, day 4.
so this day. lol. this was funny and sad at the same time. we are super excited to go travel out of dublin to see the country side. so we go to the bus stop, and the convo went like this:
us: we'd like 2 tickets to glendalough, please.
ticket guy: that bus just left.
us: is there another going?
him: not with us, but a different company, check the info desk.
*we check, they say yes, we can go, we get back in line to the SAME ticket guy*
us: okay, 2 tickets to glendalough on this company.
him: that bus is full.
us: oh. um. k.
*we read our guidebook and decide to go to cork. get back in line, SAME guy, lol*
us: okay we'd like to go to cork.
him: okay. *begins to type in ticket stuff*
us: by the way, how long of a bus ride is that?
him: almost 5 hours.
*we process that that would be 10 hours of our day sitting on a bus.*
us: um... okay. nevermind.
*get out of line, and discuss this some more. then we have the most brilliant plan. SAME guy. lol
us: just tell us where we want to go.
him: excuse me?
us: is there a place, say, 2 hours away, that's pretty and scenic.
him: um, kilkenny?
us: (in unison) GREAT! WE LOVE KILKENNY! WE'LL GO!
we buy our tickets. go to the gate. we wait and wait at the gate. suddenly, our screen says our bus departed. IT NEVER CAME. apparently, we missed it. :( it was so sad.
so, we did random sightseeing after this and had a rather uneventful day. some random pics:

so that night, we went pub hopping. went to two really boring places. got drunk. then stumbled down the street to this place called o'sullivans. thank go we stumbled in there, it ended up being my most favorite place in ireland, all because of...
brian. THE most amazing pub singer ever. I am in love. :) he is way hotter than this picture gives him credit for. and he sang stuff like oasis, coldplay, u2, pink floyd, red hot chill peppers, johnny cash, bob marley, AND he talked to me. omg. I have a million videos of him below and you should watch them all cause he's amazing. [they're each only about 30 seconds, don't worry]

ok, ya'll, here's the videos. I apologize in advance for a few things: a] the quality of the video is FAR from perfect. I tried to brighten them up a bit. b] for my drunken singing in the background. lol. although it is HILARIOUS in some of them. & c] the videos still don't do this guy justice, both for how hot he is [lol] and how good of a singer he is. he should be famous.
I sent this to carolyn and told her I dedicated it to her. ♥ it's her fav song ever, "wish you were here" by pink floyd, how appropriate.
this was how he began "wish you were here" -- for every song he did, he had a little 'hook' like this. it was how people would request songs. they'd just start humming whichever 'hook' they wanted.

omg. so. he shouted out to me "where ya from, pretty girl!?" and I was like "TEXAS!" and he was like "that's the good old YEEEEEEHAW state, eh?" and I'm like "hell yeah!" and he's like "let me play you a good old yeehaw song then. how does ring of fire by mr. johnny cash sound!?" and I was like "THAT'S AWESOME!" and he sang it, and you hear him say YEEHAW to me, and I say it back!!! it's precious. and I'm drunk.
