Resumé

Heh, last time I had reason to send out my resumé I had a Word document and that was pretty much that. This time I'm sending out a Markdown formatted text file and I've gotten compliments from people who appreciate the fact that it's just text. I probably shouldn't be saying anything, since it seems to be giving me an advantage.

Huh, that's a really good idea, now that I think about it. I've been futzing with revisions of the same MS Word file for almost 10 years now, updating and tweaking. But lately, every job site just has a textarea for pasted ASCII resumes, and most everyone accepts a PDF or RTF file via email...

I think this makes me about ready to ditch Word for this purpose
