Damn, I've been busy. I realized that I never even talked about and_ed's visit and it's been TWO MONTHS! So now you get the short version because my brain is old and my memory is feeble. It was less expensive for Barb to travel to another country to see the Foo Fighters than to go to her "local" show, and she got the added bonus of seeing

I swear, in my other life I'm a rich single girl living in the bay area so I can get to all this stuff. SO JEALOUS. Not of you this time because I'm so not a Metallica fan, but, dude...1.5 hrs of just Billie, Mike and Tre? Not to dis Jason but I would KILL to see them as their original trio selves.

Feels like our San Fran adventures were a zillion years ago now - time goes by so frickin fast. Thank you again for such a great time! Hoping the stars align for you coming up this way in 2012. And posting more. You could do that, too. ;)

That's the kind of vibe there was at the Death Magnetic CD launch show in London - very laid back, no light show, just a bunch of talented fellows jamming on stage. It was a really cool contrast with the concerts proper a few months later. And colour me impressed that Jason Newstead AND Dave Mustaine made appearances! That is some bridge-building there, wow.
