I got my ipod today, and downloaded the second dark tower book (I'm listening to them after having read them just for fun), and that should get me from Terre Haute to Georgia. The book is a little over 12 hours...so if I'm NOT there by the time it's over...I've done something very wrong. Now I just need to get a nice case for it (it's a 30gig one) ( Read more... )

Yep, I got it alright. Skeets, from DC, the artificial intelligence robot. Very clever, as always.

I find the number of comments I get depends on what I am posting about.

BTW, hope you dont mind that we now will have two dogs by the time we get married! :P

Good luck with the move! Give me your new address when you get a chance so that I can send you the damned package I have had for you forever. It just moved with me, and kinda hangs out.

I think it depends on the readers, too. On DevArt, I always got lots of comments from the young, enthusiastic ones.

I've now seen "Serenity" seven times. What's your current number?

I've honestly lost count. I saw it 4 times in the theatre, and at least 5 times on dvd (one time to listen to commentary, once to make sure my Mal costume was right, once with my dad, once when i bought it, once with a girl who'd never seen it) plus i saw a pirated version before it came out on dvd...I'd guess...a dozen?

You motherfucker. Haha.

To continue this:

Favorite part:
Mal fighting The operative both times.

Least favorite part:
Mr. Universe. Detrimental to the plot, boring character.

And a few questions you can probably answer:
1. So the Reavers are a bad result of the government chemical?
2. Was River being experimented for the chemical, or did she just know the secrets?
3. And what was the significance of the rocket? Mal wished for one at the altar, and River fires one in the climax.

Yeah, the government had placed the chemical in the air filters to calm everyone, and like .09% (or something like that) it had the reverse effect on, and made them even more aggressive and crazy, thus the reavers are born. Hence why main "revear space" is between Miranda (the planet they tested it on) and the other planets.)

River was experimented on because of her inate psycic abilities, and then now, is being persued by the government, because (they think) she may have read the mind of one of the important brass, unconsciously, and learned some dirty government secret (which she did).

As for the last one...I haven't the foggiest idea. And I'm not real sure when you're talking about, with River firing a rocket.

And yeah, I love the Mal/Operative fight. I love Harrison Ford, and Hon...but Mal would take him hands down.
