I understand the importance of family, and I understand the importance of working hard on a relation ship to make it work...but christ, I just can not get how people can keep working and working to hold a family together that doesn't like each other that much. I could never work that hard, just to sit and be around someone or a group of someones

I totally agree with the first. My blood family does not hold a candle to my love family. I am pretty blessed that my immediate family for the MOST part is love as well, though sometimes...garrrrr! My grandparents, yep. The rest of them? Take em or leave em.
