We’ve had our dog Harvey now for a little over three weeks. And I don’t know if I just don’t have a clear remembrance of when my last two dogs were puppies or not…I mean I know dogs are work, and they need you, and they all learn at different speeds, etc, etc. But it seems like every day it seems like he’s taking a step backward in his training. I tend to put puppies and children in the same category: they're cute and fun to play with, but boy am I glad to give them back to their parents when I tire of them.

Since my own new puppy has recently become a $3000 acquisition, I'm hoping there's some small consolation to it - like exceedingly good behavior and early house training.

So far she's been really, really good and isn't a chewer, house pooper, or barker. Yet. And she sleeps well, without waking up most nights. Hallelujah.
