I don't think they can control the weather. Or locusts, for that matter.

How can we be certain? They control all else, do they not?

People who had died during the blizzard weren't being revived, or even picked up until it was over. If the scientists had some hand in it, I just wonder why they would delay what they otherwise do. No one new arrived until after the blizzard was over either.

Locuts sounds like a fine choice.

Do they not? Though I doubt they would cause a great amount of bodily harm, I assume they would devour all food stocks, and all attempts to travel outside would be met with hundreds of insects.

[She saw that pun.]

You're not funny.

You assume I was attempting humor, and not an ironic observation.

Oh, you weren't here when a good half of the population went murderous and tried to kill one another, were you~? [Said Very Positively.]

I was not - such a shame. It would have been amusing to spectate, if nothing else. And if I went mad as well, I doubt I would care.

[Stated just as positively!]

I suppose you could say that, though it really was quite entertaining, yes! [Sigh.] Still, I suppose I can't really condone being tampered with like that. It is a matter of principle, after all.

It makes planning for the future incredibly difficult, when random murderous rages afflict half of the city.

Even if a plague of locusts were to occur, we would still not die.

Of course not. But do you not agree that large insects clinging to the hair and clothing, devouring all food stocks, and generally existing would be, at the very least, marginally unpleasant?

Though I have little idea whether or not you enjoy them, I would be unhappy with a glittering cloud of locusts descending upon our fair, damaged city.

I suppose it would not be pleasant, no, but it still would not be fatal. People are very adaptable when it comes to overcoming unpleasantries, but I have never heard of anyone overcoming death back in the real world.
