Hey man, I don't know you as well as other people here, but I'm happy for you. And sometimes things do move that fast. Within a week of dating Katie, we both used the "L" word, and within a month of dating we were already talking about marriage. And here we are 5+ years later with no regrets.

When love happens, you can't stop it.

(By the way, you gonna be at ConnectiCon this year?)

Ok I'll be the jerk, just because I care. I REALLY hope you both consider professional relationship counseling before taking the next step and go with their recommendations on what to do. This could go really well or really badly and while I am pulling for you 100% in what you want to do I dunno... I'm scared for you.

I knew you were on the 'reservations' side.

We're not doing this tomorrow.. we're thinking a nice two year engagement.. long enough for us to be sure and right and trust and all that happy stuffs.

You aren't being a jerk, and I appreciate your concerns.

If after the honeymoon phase of this washes off and some of the cracks start to show in the foundations, we will most definitely do whatever is necessary then. We are utterly aware that we are both impulsive people. Sometimes thats a blessing and sometimes its a curse.

Thank you though, Ash. :) The fact that you can be both concerned and hopeful is awesome. I seriously mean that.

I agree. Professional counseling is wonderful with the right counselor.

I will be living vicariously through you because I am so unimpulsive. While my eyebrow always does raise in these situations, at the same time I always admire others for being so balls out about what they want and letting it just play out.
