Scotland!

Being here makes me a little less homesick - Scotland is beautiful, the accents are easier on the ears, and the people are so nice. They are genuinely happy to see you, and happy to chat about their city, and happy to give advice. Awwww.

Really, the accents are easier? All the Glaswegians I've ever heard have been a bit difficult to understand, but I love it and it's still fun to figure out what they're saying ;)

Not easier, just easier to listen to for long periods of time. It was a challenge to have a conversation with the cabbie, but SO fun!

As I said to you in London, my Grandmother's Scottish but she's been down here so long her accent isn't that noticable, or maybe just not to me. But when her sister comes down to visit I always feel really bad because I find it hard to have a conversation with her, her accents so thick!
