Whenever something interesting happens to me I think, "Man I should post that on Lj!", and never do because I'm usually too busy at the time, am too tired to bother later, and then it's way too long after the fact and something else just as, if not more postable, has happened... and the cycle... cycles. As someone who spent nine days in a public hospital a couple of years ago, I feel your pain.
The care is terrible (they left me sleeping on bloodied bedsheets for two days before changing them) and mean nurses can really make the whole thing so much more miserable than it has to be.
I'm sorry you had such an awful time, and that everyone on your end seems to be down with the lurgy.

Argh, that sounds like pretty much my worst nightmare. i HATE gastro, and i hate hospitals.....and sadly, im not surprised that the Dr had never heard of CFS, even now. and yes, its still not an illness that would ever be relevant to any other, cos you know, it just makes you a bit tired an stuff, gosh come to think of it, im pretty tired all the time after a week working/playing/partying...maybe i hve that fatigue thing too?:P :P *big hugs to both you and Ellora-hope you are both feeling heaps better now. and pffffffffft. the nasti gastro has been doing the rounds so much im surprised they tried to hoist it off as food poisoning. blah. *wraps you inna blankey*:P
