True Story

This happened over a week ago, but it was a while before I was able to talk about it.

As mentioned before, I teach Japanese kids English. All sorts of kids: big kids, small kids, nice kids, mean kids, and so on. This story involves one particular kid.

For the sake of the story, I'll call her A. A's five years old and she's one of the shy ones. But

Wow... that's a quite wacky happenstance. Though, I wouldn't go so far as to say that a five year old has ownership of you. Kids are strange things who know not what they do. I've definitely gotten groped by seven-year-olds and in one instance a thirteen-year-old girl with Down Syndrome. Yeah. Try telling anyone about that one. Awkward sauce + now getting spanked by a 5-yo sounds like a good option. But at the end of the day, you can't make a big fuss about it, because once you do and the kids see that you do, *they'll* make a big fuss out of it. I mean, that's a general rule for everything, not just potential sexual harassment.

In short, I'm sorry you felt so questioning of yourself and your circumstance. It's quite odd indeed to be in a foreign country with foreign kiddies acting that way. Just know that you're not alone when it comes to the weird stuff kids do, and hopefully it doesn't happen again! (And if it does happen, you have the right to notify someone of authority.)

Thanks, but I may have been a tad over-the-top in my description of the event in order to emphasize the wackiness of the happenstance.
