Mint
http://teagueful.livejournal.com/31002.html?thread=9176602#t9176602 4 pm to 5 pm was the most anticipated hour of Apollo's day. For 1 hour, he could simply relax in the Wright Anything Agency with a cup of tea. No running from one end of the town to the other for evidence. No dealing with a variety of wacky witnesses. No freaking out over Trucy and her magical panties. He could just sit back and relax before he was hurled back into a colorful explosion of cases, lunatics, obscure hints, murders and frustration.
Over time, he got used to the crazy setting of the office. He could stand Phoenix's teasing and his seemingly endless supply of stories comparing him to an old friend. He had learned to ignore Trucy and her seemingly innocent offers for refills so that his tea wouldn't "magically" turn into sugar water. He didn't mind pushing his tea time back due to a trial or investigations.
But
He glared at the person leaning against him on the small couch.
this
The person that he failed to sneak away from, again, and insisted he join him.
is
The person that ended up ignoring his own mint tea after one sip and decided to obnoxiously lean against him while softly humming those stupid songs of his.
very
The person that just grinned and gently poked his forehead when he glared at him.
irritating...
Of all the irritating, wacky things, he still has to get used to Klavier.
"There's a lot of room on the other couch, you know," Apollo mumbled as he took another small sip of darjeeling. "Plus you barely drank any of your own tea. It's a waste. I went out of my way to make a sweeter cup for you."
Klavier pouted but didn't move away from Apollo. "There's no need to be so cold, Herr Forehead." He grinned and flicked of Apollo's gelled up spikes. "Just relax. That's what your disgustingly bitter tea is for, ja?"
Apollo scowled and bat away the other's hand. "This is supposed to be relaxing, but you keep bothering me!"
"Hrm, there you go again, Herr Forehead." Klavier sighed. "And I thought the tea would've been able to melt the ice off of mein poor geliebt's heart."
Apollo simply rolled his eyes in response and-
"But I enjoyed it when Herr Icy Forehead turned into Herr Blushy Blushy last night."
-ungracefully chocked and spluttered on his tea while Klavier picked up his own cup and took a sip, acting as if he had said nothing wrong.
"K-Kla-Kl-Klavier-"
"But I guess I couldn't call you Herr Blushy Blushy when you shoved me against the wall." Another sip while staring off as if pondering something.
"W-Wai-"
"Hmm, actually, you were pretty demanding last night too when you kept telling me 'faster', 'harder' and such while tugging my hair." Another quick sip and a chuckle.
"Sh-Shut up-"
"But the faces you were making were still quite adorable, so you could still be Herr Blushy Blushy, ja?" That infuriatingly charming smile and another sip.
Apollo, hands shaking and blushing up to his ears, could only stare down at the slightly quivering cup in his hands.
Sometimes Klavier couldn't tell if pressing Apollo further might get him slugged but he mentally shrugged and decided to take that risk. He placed his cup back down onto the small coffee table and suddenly leaned closer to Apollo, his lips almost touching the other's ear.
It took some effort for him to surpass his laughter when Apollo yelped and jolted back, almost spilling the tea tightly gripped between his hands all over his lap, at the sudden closeness. Before Apollo could say anything, Klavier learned further to shorten the distance created by the other's reaction and whispered a quick apology and pulled back with a grin.
He just couldn't help it. It was just too much fun to make him blush and stutter. Besides, wouldn't spending time snuggled close to him be better than drinking that mouth-curdlingly bitter dere-joo-line?

"Too sweet," Apollo murmured, resisting the urge to lick his tingling lips. "I never really liked mint tea..." Regardless of that, he shivered slightly. Whether the tingling was from the kiss or traces of mint tea, he couldn't tell.
"Ach, not sweet enough, Herr Forehead." Klavier stuck out his tongue playfully and laughed then turned so he can take another sip of mint tea to cover the slight bitter taste left by the darjeeling on other's tongue. But before he could even grab his cup, two hands, warmed by the cup they previous held, firmly grasped him; One on the arm extended outward and the other on the back of his neck.
