2007 had better be getting all the suck out of the way early. If too much of the rest of the year is like today, I'm not going to leave the house anymore. Gah.

Someone let me know when they've invented a mulligan machine. I want today back.

Oh dear. Anything I can do?

(I'd be surprised if I can do anything relevant, but random cheering-up?)

Random cheering-up would be very helpful. Tell me something good that happened today? :)

I actually had a fairly uneventful day, but hmm.

--I unearthed the paper I was looking for that my PI wanted for a reference.
--The evening van service from campus to local apartment complexes was back today, so I did not have to walk home in the dark.
--The lab's new printer works. Granted, I had nothing to do with this, but it's still nice. (The old one used to inexplicably print gibberish while nobody was looking. Or, well, there probably was an explanation, but I never understood it.)
--A friend won Storytelling with the entry I was hoping would get in. (And this was particularly amusing -- twice today, the update was late and she made a remark about it updating as soon as she left the computer -- and it did.)
--I have not renewed an argument I got into last July. :P

All very cool things. :) I'm particularly vicariously-happy about the printer, actually--and I'm reminded that my printer at work actually behaved today; things could have been worse. Most of my morning job involves sorting and distributing this huge pile of paperwork that first has to be printed every day, and the printer it comes out on gets into these random moods where sometimes it will jam every other page . . . for several hundred pages. And today, when it would have been particularly evil if that happened--the pile of paperwork was larger than usual--it was extremely well-behaved.
