I drove down to San Diego on Saturday to see a play. and meet up with friends while there.  Knowing it was going to rain, I left early, and took my time.  On the way down, I stopped by San Juan Capistrano, because I had never been. I was at a friend's desk at work, and he had a lot of toys. Found this one.  "Unfortunate Dog" - a Japanese toy, where a dog got his head stuck in a tire.- you can roll him around to play with it.

Friday morning instead of going to a final movie, I decided to take the ski lift in Deer Valley one more time to the top of the mountain and, man am I glad I did.  It was a semi-cloudy morning, and the clouds created some beautiful sights.  Shelly came with me, and we rode the lift - she without any tequila!! - and as we rose above the clouds, I ( Read more... )

It's with overwhelming sadness to have to say my friend Tom passed away this week.  Even typing those words is rather surreal.  He was my friend who was always up for something avant-garde - it was HE who took me to that bizarre syrup film event recently at the RedCat theater...
