On our way home today, we heard (read) David Cameron (Dundas Square is now televisions) say this,

And I Quote:

".....we will not let any phoney concerns about human rights get in the way of the publication of the pictures and the arrest of these individuals."

Yeah I can't believe Harper and Blair would say that after the police reaction to the peaceful protest in Queen's Park...

... oh you're talking about that England thing again. I thought this was a G20 discussion.

I *think* (hope) he'll find that the UK still has a presumption of innocence until proven guilty. Though, they should arrest them, certainly.

Here in Toronto, some newspapers (The Star, not the weaselly Toronto Editor at the Globe and Mail, I'm sorry to say) published photos of IDENTIFIABLE cops beating a G20 protestor and no charges have been laid since our police chief claim that they don't know who the officer is, because he isn't wearing a numbered badge (cuz he didn't want to get caught, d'uh).

Luckily, 'by any means necessary' was gale force winds in much of the UK last night, which but a damper on things.
