Do so! I've got Don Palpatine calling Rey's father that - my headcanon for this fic is that Palpatine's daughter ran off with one of his Mafioso guys, married, had Rey, and were living a life on the run in Britain when the parents were killed. Thus Rey ended up in the foster system there until someone showed up and collected her DNA, then brought her back to the US.

Which means the "lollipop man" is going to show up down the track.

I rarely read fanfic outside of HP, (previously a few Star Wars, Hook, Big Band Theory). When I got the notification from AO3 you had a new fic up l started reading it and am really enjoying it. I hardly ever read WIPS (been burned too many times) but I immediately got sucked in and and am now anxiously awaiting your updates.

Confession: I love Reylo. I don't love all the tropes that I find squicky that often show up, but I love what skilled authors bring to the ship, I love AUs, and most of all, I ADORE that Reylo pisses off so many gatekeeping assholes in the SW fandom. Even if I didn't love the ship already, that alone would predispose me to affection for it.
