Beer ban is unconstitutional!

Okay, so I'm ticked. I went to the store after church this morning because I had no bananas and also wanted to pick up some more soda for tonight's gaming and my b-day party in two-ish weeks. I also thought, "Hey, I'll be nice to Laurent and pick up a 6-pack of Shiner, because he always gets excited when I actually have beer for him." No biggie ( Read more... )

that law has been around for awhile. i think it's only in texas. i remember having to deal with it when i worked at heb. i also thought it was not a good law.

I don't agree with it, but it's not all that bad compared to other places. In Dallas, there were stores that couldn't sell alcohol at all (they were in "dry" districts) and I heard in Michigan you can't buy beer at all on Christmas day!

*shrug* How "bad" it is doesn't really interest me much. To be honest, considering that I pretty much never buy beer, this law doesn't impact me much. But the principle of the thing REALLY bothers me.
