I took fewer pictures this year, and the ones I took were generally not as good; one can attribute this either to the dust storms that ravaged Black Rock City (I counted five pretty significant ones during the course of the week) or to the fact that I was just too busy having a fantastic time.

Great shots. Glad you had such a good time this year, I've read so many hipster backlash articles lately it's nice to hear the people are just enjoying themselves.

Still never made it to one of these and now I'd feel like such a late joiner I'm not sure I'd want to - I'd feel like an imposter. The one out in South Africa sounds pretty cool though.

I'm not sure I dig on the over-use of flamethrowers though. Was super cool to begin with, but now seems overdone and a waste of fossil fuels. It's like Thailand where now every single restaurant and bar lights shit on fire every night - poi, jumpropes, signs, lanterns.
