I went to Havana. It was sadder than I expected; it's pretty much a picturesque disaster area, where a block from the Prado (Havana's famous promenade) people live in half-collapsed buildings, and on the day I left, down the street from my AirBNB -- yes, that's right! -- people were excitedly queuing to buy tomatoes. The revolution is a town?

No, "the revolution is the people". Pueblo can mean a town, but it really means "the people of the town".

Continuously defend the revolution!

"We continue defending the revolution." Was there a "la" off to the right of "defendiendo"? If there wasn't, then amend my translation to just "we continue defending revolution".

In general, a "-ly" in English becomes a -mente in Spanish and vice-versa.

That's a lovely piece of street art ... in general I didn't see much. I found this video https://vimeo.com/55355281 quite beautiful and tried to find those works, but they were all gone.
