(no subject)
I can't bring myself to let this journal die, so here's a quick update.
I haven't been on LJ in a looooooong time. Maybe I'm just not good at blogging on it anymore. Maybe I'm too good and dug myself into an inescapable hole by having 5 tumblrs and only one of them dedicated to flailing over and sharing manporn.
I have a lot of fandoms to catch up on. I've watched a handful of episodes of BBC Sherlock, Legend of Korra, Polarbear Cafe, and... hm... what else is popular with the younguns these days... I finally saw The Avengers. It made me realize that I can't ship RDJ characters. He just bugs me and I don't want to think about why that is, honestly. Also, that I'm climbing that aging chart of people who make it all worth it (aka Agent Coulson aka fanboy aka representative of the hearts of the people)
But hands down, the best fandom-related thing that has happened to me recently is getting back into Gaki no Tsukai during the last couple months of school. It prevented me from strangling myself with my intuos cord and taking 20hr naps because being awake was too depressing. Not to mention, as I came across all that history and tension stuff between Downtown, it reminded me of Dean & Jerry and suddenly it became a smorgasbord of feelings and gross sobs.
And of course no one ships anything. And of course those who do just tag "dhjsaklfdhjsa" and that's as close as it will get, except for that time I rule 34'd it straight up
I'll try to draw more fanart. I really want to. It has become apparent that when I don't empty my head of the small ideas, the big ideas don't develop as smoothly.
And that's what I've been up to. And maybe I got back into Assassin's Creed for a moment there too.
