Who was the last person who?
. Slept in your bed: I.
. Saw you cry: I don't remember particularly the last time I cried, but I'm all but certain Mary would have been the last person to see me cry.
. Made you cry: I haven't a clue.
. Spent the night at your house: Mary!
. You shared a drink with: Mary and I just went to Starbucks.
. You went to the movies with: Mary, Devon, and Brian
. You went to the mall with: Mary!
. Yelled at you: Probably Devon yelling "Bored!"
. Sent you an e-mail: I've sent myself some files, does that count? Otherwise, someone in my Operating Systems class about the project.
. Said they were going to kill you: Maybe the Cheese. No one has seriously made that threat, though. Oderint dum metuant.
Have you ever?
. Said "I love you" and meant it?: Often... Why would I ever say it when I don't mean it?
. Been to New York?: Not yet. I'd like to go see a few things there, like The Producers or Spamalot on Broadway and a couple other things here and there.
. Been to Florida?: Nope.
. California?: No.
. Hawaii?: No.
. Mexico?: No.
. China?: No.
. Canada?: No.
. Danced naked?: My dancing has been outlawed in thirty-eight states, every nation of the EU, and four other countries.
. Got a really bad feeling about something then it happened?: My subconscious had acquired an understanding of the workings of the world greater than I often know, and as a result I occasionally scare myself with accurate predictions of a variety of events.
. Wish you were the opposite sex?: Nope. Long ago there was a time when I wished I could become some sort of robot or something and abandon gender and this nonsense of love, but I was just lonely.
. Had an imaginary friend?: Not exactly. I had a very active imagination and a lot of characters resided in it, but I never had one in particular I maintained long interactions with or insisted to other people that they had to acknowledge the existence of.
. Red or blue? For what? An apple? Red. Formal attire? Blue, preferably dark or navy.
. Spring or fall? Whenever? I don't bother choosing when I have to cycle through all the season anyway, just like everyone else in temperate climate zones on this planet.
. Santa or Rudolph?: Pedro Negro?
. Math or English? Math, especially abstract and binary logic. It makes more sense while achieving greater complexity.
. What are you going to do after you finish this survey?: Sleep.
. What was the last food you ate?: I was comparing Thin Mints and Grasshoppers.
. How many buddies are on?: I'm not, so who knows?
. Last movie you saw?: The Producers! *sings* Haben sie gahört das deutsche band?
. Last noise you heard?: Mary turning pages, and the tapping of the keyboard.
. Last time you went out of the state: Last weekend I went home and drove through Pensylvania.
. Things you like in a girl/guy: Intelligence, talent, taste... In short, Mary.
. Do you have a crush on someone?: I crush all who oppose me.
. Do they know?: Only too late.
. What's his/her name?: I don't give my enemies the priviledge of identity.
. What do you think of ouija boards?: Penn and Teller on Bullshit took a group of people, had them use one blindfolded, and in one trial without telling the group they turned the board upside-down (not face down, but just spun around). In both the normal and reverse orientation, the pointer thing only went to easy to find spots on the board such as where the "Yes" and "No" should be, but in the case of the inverted board they went to where the "Yes" and "No" were in the original orientation. In short, it's more a game dealing with ideas of psychology than religion--more a demonstration of the power of suggestion than anything of the sort of demons or ghosts. I guess they're like spirtual sugar pills...
. What book are you reading now?: Whatever text book I have to, at least until I get my Godel, Escher, Bach back off the Cheese from when I forgot it.
. What's on your mouse pad?: I normally don't use a mouse pad, and just use my desk, but my mouse pad has the name of some herbicide company on it.
. Favourite board game?: That depends. Risk is always fun because of the crazy diplomacy and such that goes on between me and my friends, but if there're only two of us playing or I feel like a more challenging game of strategy, I love a good game of Go.
. Favourite magazine?: I don't know... Discover, maybe?
. Worst feeling in the world?: Seeing Mary unhappy, followed closely by frustration with stupid people.
. What is the first thing you think when you wake in the morning?: Just a little more sleep.
. How many rings before you answer?: However many it takes to get to the phone. However, with land lines I always answer when during a ring to avoid confusion with answering after someone else has answered.
. Future daughter's name?: I'll figure this out when there's a future daughter.
. Future son's name?: See above, replacing changing the word that was changed in the question.
. Chocolate or vanilla?: Applewood... Oh, wait...
. Do you sleep with a stuffed animal?: Nope, but there's an
Ebola and a
Black Death currently residing on my night stand.
. If you could have any job you wanted, what would it be?: Working for somewhere like Google or Bose...
. Are you a lefty, righty or ambidextrous?: Righty. Interesting that "ambidextrous" is derived from the Latin "dexter" meaning "on the right" or "right-handed", and thus "ambidextrous" means "both right"... Also "ambidextrous" is from "ambidexter", which used to mean "double-dealer", which is one of the few times you'll find "dexter" or variations of such in a word with a negative connotation, unlike the root for "left" which is "sinistro-"... "sinister" is Latin for "on the left" or "unlucky" (although, in all fairness, it went to Middle English "sinistre" before becoming the word we use).
. Do you type with your fingers on the right keys?: Yes, but I really would rather adapt to a non-qwerty keyboard, as I believe I've posted about before. The qwerty keyboard was invented to be inefficient, as secretaries on previous, more logical keyboard layouts were typing too fast and jamming the hammers of typewriters. People only still use it because they're too lazy to adapt to something new.
. What's under your bed?: Untold junk.
. Hair Colour: Brown.
. Eye Colour: Brown.
. Height Currently: Just barely past 6'.
. Glasses/contacts: Not at all.
. Current Age: 20. Ask me again in a week and I'll say 21, unless I forget I just had a birthday as I occasionally do.
. Siblings: Older brother and younger sister.
. Location: West Virginia.
. College Plans: Completing my BS in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering, then hopefully furthering my education in a newer field like Biomedical Engineering or Artificial Intelligence (occasionally called Knowledge Engineering).
. Any Piercings: Nope.
. Best Friends: A good many. Mary, the Cheese, Josh, Devon, Ben, et al.
. Boyfriend/Girlfriend: Mary!
. Current Crush: Devon crushed his cup when he sat on it...?
. Hobbies: Playing dobro, writing, drawing, trivia, video games, still trying to program a video game, learning whatever I can from languages to history to nesting habbits of the spotted owl.
. What Type Automobile Do You Drive: 2003 Toyota Corolla
. Are You Timely Or Always Late: Usually late, except that I prefer not to schedule things ahead of time and just to do things when the time comes.
. Do You Have A Job: Not currently.
. Do You Like Being Around People: Yes. However, you must realize that by saying I like being around people, it's similar to when I say "I like sandwiches" I mean good sandwiches and not old salmon and onion sandwiches.
STUFF
. Have you ever loved someone you had no chance with: Too many times.
. Have You Ever Cried Over Something Someone of The Opposite Sex Did: Maybe, but I think this question implies that they did something to me, but I don't waste tears on myself. I cry if something bad happens to someone I love, though.
. Do You Have A "Type" Of Person You Always Go After: Not really... Just the same good people I chose as friends and company otherwise.
. Are You Lonely Right Now: Not at all.
. Ever Afraid You'll Never Get Married: There is nothing to fear but fear itself, which of course is phobophobia. Actually, though, I've never been afraid of marriage... or fear.
. Do You Want To Get Married: Is that a proposal?
. Do You Want Kids: Maybe one or two for lunch.
FAVORITE
. Room In house: Why Capitalize two Out Of three Words In that Sentence, Even capitalizing The Preposition instead Of The object? Normally, all words are capitalized except for things like prepositions and articles and conjunctions... Or just all words... Or just normal capitalization. And by that I mean I don't have a favourite room, just like I don't have a favourite colour. Just wherever I happen to be at the time.
. Type of music: Acoustic instrumental of the highest quality of talent, especially if there's a dobro. Check out my previous entry for my Pandora station which plays mostly that sort.
. Song: "Wayfaring Stranger" instrumental by Rob Ickes on Big Time
. Memory: I couldn't pick just one... All my times with Mary, followed by bluegrass festivals, Otakon, random monkeyshines...
. Day Of The Week: Thursday when I have no class.
. Perfume Or Cologne: I've never touched the stuff.
. Flower: I've never considered picking a favorite one of those before.
. Season: I've always liked winter, but I haven't had time to play in the snow recently, so it really doesn't matter if I won't be skiing or sledding...
. Location for dates: Wherever makes Mary smile.
IN THE LAST 48 HOURS, HAVE YOU:
. Cried: No.
. Bought Something: Nope.
. Gotten Sick: Not infected. I'm sleep deprived and would be feeling better if I wasn't.
. Sang: I was singing along with "Monkey Bay" in my car, which is a little odd (not for me) considering it's instrumental, but I was singing "I Want to be a Producer" earlier.
. Said I Love You: Yes.
. Wanted To Tell Someone You Loved them, But Didn't: Nope.
. Met Someone New: No.
. Moved On: Not in the sense I believe this is intended, but I have progressed in time and therefore "moved on", I suppose.
. Talked To Someone: How could I go 48 hours without talking to someone? Are you suggesting I've taken a vow of silence or something?
. Had A Serious Talk: Of course.
. Missed Someone: There're always people to be missed.
. Hugged Someone: Josh just hugged me not long ago. Of course Mary hugs me frequently, too...
. Kissed Someone: Just Mary for this one...
. Fought With Your Parents: Nope.
. Dreamed About Someone You Can't Be With: His name is Mario...
. Had a lot of sleep: A couple hours last night, and a decent amount the night before.
. Wanted This Survey To Be Over: Is this suggesting I should have done this survey over a period of longer than forty-eight hours?
