I dunno,for me.. 360 points just make you feel competitive at times, even if you only play casually. At least that's how it is for me. but with ps3 trophies, I really do feel like im playing casually just to enjoy the games and it's actually rather fun.
In essence, trophies are the same damn thing. The difference is that you only have one or two friends on the PS3 that you speak to regularly, so there's noone to "compete" with. Second point is: STOP COMPETING, DIPSHIT. Nobody's competing with you. It's your own damn fault for feeling you can't simply enjoy the game, because you 'have to compete.'
If you need a stupid reason to simply give up on feeling competitive: I have almost twice the gamerscore of anyone we actually talk to. No need to compete. Unless you start dedicating all your time to catching up, it's a lost cause. The competition is over. It's done.
DONE.
As for "which system to get it for"... that's a no-brainer. The 360 runs cross-platform games better.
