Leads and Follows

I don't claim to be a very good lead. I tend to flair out my elbows, losing the connection. And I am often indecisive, with my thoughts of "why don't I lead X" sort of only half translating into the appropriate motion

It's possible that there was something else going on that I don't know about. Somehow, I don't think it was plain lack of interest, though. I tend to be a little hypersensitive to that, and I didn't pick up any vibes to that effect. With any extended metaphor, one has to be careful not to over-apply it. In essence, you've got to already be dancing for it to make sense about talking about leads and follows
