Hallo, everyone. I'd like to request help with a certain Project I've somehow become very set on accomplishing.

( In which my ambitions and shortcomings threatening the achievement thereof are detailed. )

I'd definitely love to help out! The RG Veda fandom just doesn't have enough good fanfics as it is.

I don't know how much I can help you with the Japanese names, as I've only taken one semester of Japanese (although... I could always look in my old textbooks and pull out random names for you? Lame solution, but at least the Japanese names will be accurate ^^;;;). I am, however, pretty good at being a bouncing-board for ideas. I'm also more than willing to be a beta when the time comes; I'm majoring in English at my university, so I'll be able to catch any grammatical problems (at least, I should be able to!).

I'm very interested in seeing what you come up with, by the way. ^^ I'm quite fond of Tenou, but the poor guy didn't get enough screen time at the end.

Ah, thank you! After a certain point my board-bouncing will likely turn into flailing and rambling and over-analyzing. So, uh. What would be a convenient medium for you? (E-mail/LJ/AIM/other?)

I'm more than a little interested in seeing that, too. Given that my usual writing process is having a few basic points to hit and then beating around them blind when I actually get on it. And, as if it weren't a bit obvious, I love Tenou. He got quite a bit shafted at the end without the acknowledgment that he had a world of mess to deal with.

Over-analyzing is my specialty! I tend to see a lot of things that probably aren't really there~ great for writing essays, not so great for other aspects of life. XD

I'm in complete agreement with you about the ending~ it seemed like the world magically went all sunshine-and-happiness after Ashura got sealed away, which of course is impossible. I wanted Tenou to get some recognition at the end, darnit! D:

I'd like to sign up to help. ^^ I don't know if I'd be much help in any other way (I could possibly help with beta'ing, but I don't know Japanese - though I have done a fair amount of research into the mythology RG Veda is based on. i.e. where CLAMP found most of the names of things in the series, so if you think that might be helpful...), but I'd love to discuss ideas with you. I'm very interested in seeing what you're going to come up with.

That title is simply the most awesome ever.

A lot of wiki-ing. And googling. And link following. And searching through a lot of books, in my case. Buddhist/Hindu myth is fascinating, but trying to find information on it can be...frustrating.
