Many of the constitution framers actually thought the bill of rights was a disgrace -- that such god given rights needed to be dispersed by a government liaison.

Somehow though, I think we need to state the obvious, as sad as that is.

You sound like a libertarian.
I am most definately NOT a libertarian, but I have a very good friend who will fight your position to the death.

I think you would find more solace in that circle, though I'm not sure that is what you are looking for.
