The first time they met, Ohno thought his eyebrows were too thick and it almost looked ridiculous if it wasn’t for the teeth being all over that made him cute.

The first time they met, Jun thought he was a silly little old man who’s actually cute when he smiles showing off uneven teeth that reminded him of his own, only a lot cuter.

The first time they were introduced to each other, Jun’s heart did a little flip flop, wondering exactly how soft were the other’s hair and how wonderful it would feel when, if-he corrected himself, he gets to run his fingers through them. And Ohno still thought Jun had too thick of eyebrows.

The first time he heard Jun sang, Ohno thought his eardrums were going to burst, but what weirder was the fact that his heart almost exploded. He never thought such voice could be so sweet.

The first time he heard Ohno sang, Jun thought he just went to heaven. That an angel was singing to him in the sweetest voice, sending him to an eternity of happiness.

The first time they touched each other, it was during a photo shoot. Both felt their skin tingles from the others’ warmth. Jun could only flash his toothy grin, hiding his embarrassment and Ohno simply subtly dug his nose, also trying to hide his embarrassment.

The first time they were left alone together, they were both flushing from the previous dance practice. Everyone else had other work to do, and they both decided to stay just a little bit longer, side by side, trying to catch their breath, deciding to calm their racing heart before heading to the shower and go home. What was unsaid and unseen was the fact that they stayed so that they could feel the other’s presence lingering, just a little more, enjoying the other’s company, just a bit more, to just be there with the other, for just a moment more. And no, their hearts didn’t stop racing, not until they were in their beds, thinking of the other while having a sweet dream that they both forgot the next day.

The first time they kissed, it was staged. The staffs wanted them to show some Juntoshi love, saying how Ohmiya was all over the place, the way Sakuraiba was and that they needed some other pairing too. It was staged, but exhilarating. Lips barely touching, not even a tongue involved, Jun always prefers to peck instead of French, but enough to make the both of them felt the heat from the passion, enough to make fireworks to happen in Ohno’s heart - sending him to fall down, sitting on the stage not even able to hide his flushed cheeks. He blamed the running, the dancing and the singing, but he couldn’t lie to himself, it was because Jun’s little kiss was more than enough for him to stop being coherent.

The first time they really shared a kiss, it was when Jun finally decided to confess. I think I'm in love with you Riida, he said. And Ohno could only smile, decided to make the first move to lean now that Jun had taken the first step to confess. It was brief at first, just a reminder of what happened on stage, but as they gradually got more comfortable of each other, the kisses were sweeter, more tender, more passionate, and definitely hotter. It was also the first time they were interrupted by a very annoyed Ninomiya. Get a fucking room you both! Don’t taint the green room. We share this place for heaven’s sake! Of which Jun could only look down sheepishly, while Ohno simply grinned and dragged Nino down onto the couch, trying to calm him down.

The first time they had sex was a very different story. No disturbance, only slight awkwardness. There was a little help from tequila to lessen the unnecessary tension, and Jun couldn’t stop going harder Satoshi, harder, there, there - Oh my holy God - there Satoshi! while Ohno was the one on the quieter side, with only soft moans escaping from his lips, and maybe just a small scream of Jun! when he was coming. It was unforgettable, for both of them, it was the sweetest sexiest form of each other that they have ever seen before, and no way were either of them going to forget it.

The first time Jun had his heart broken; it was after a phone call. Jun was changing into his normal clothes after finishing their Music Station filming when Ohno’s mother called. She was crying, Please leave my son, he deserves someone better, someone who can give him a child, someone who is a woman, in between hiccups she told Jun. And who was Jun to tell no to an elderly woman who loves Ohno as much, if not more, as he does.

The first time Ohno had his heart broken; it was at a bar. He was with Aiba, going out for a drink that had both planned for a very long time. He saw someone from behind who looked so strangely familiar, kissing a very pretty woman. It was only until he turned around that he realised, the one kissing the woman was his very own boyfriend, who had just had a very rough sex with him the night before. Ohno almost puked at the very thought of kissing the same man ever again. He didn’t realise he was running away, didn’t realise his eyes were wet; until he felt Aiba’s hand grabbing his shoulder, wrapping his body tightly in warm embrace, telling Ohno, There must be an explanation for this Ohchan, but Ohno refused to listen, refused to stay, refused to trust nobody but his own eyes, but mostly he tried so hard to refuse into believing that Jun would be capable of breaking his heart.

It was raining. He was out on the beach, trying to imagine life without Ohno by his side anymore. It was hurting him when Ohno refused to be angry at him, but instead acted nonchalant about it. He treated Jun the way he would treat a stranger on the street, except when he put on his invisible mask and let Jun sat on his lap acting comfortable with it, but at the same time ignoring Jun and focused more on the fishes he could see on the screen of his mobile phone; but only when the camera was running.

Just the day before he received a card from Ohno, an invitation for his engagement party that was to be held today. Jun decided not to come. There was no way he could remain calm if he was to see Ohno getting engaged to another woman, no way he would be able to stop himself from causing havoc to the party, no way he would be able to stop himself from hurting Ohno again, from hurting Ohno’s mother, hurting Ohno’s fiancée. He couldn’t.

“How long do you intend to keep it from me?”

Startled, Jun turned around to his left finding Ohno beside him. With just a simple marine t-shirt, under an umbrella, at the same time protecting Jun from the rain, he squatted and stared at Jun.

“How long do you intend to lie to me?”

Jun looked back to the ocean, not wanting to answer. He didn’t even know what he should be telling Ohno. Should he tell Ohno he paid his cousin’s girlfriend to kiss him? Should he tell Ohno that his cousin was sitting right behind the woman, expecting nothing more than a peck on the lips should happen? Should he tell Ohno how much he cried every single day since they broke up that night? Should he tell Ohno how much he missed him being warm and playful towards Jun? Jun no longer know what he should be telling to Ohno. He kept quiet, because he believed, sometimes only silence can answer questions that words can never.

He still kept his mouth shut when Ohno hugged him. He wasn’t going to cry in front of Ohno. He wasn’t going to hurt Ohno’s mother. He wasn’t going to hurt an innocent girl’s heart. He wasn’t going to hurt his heart again.

“Speak to me Matsujun!”

There was lightning, signalling a storm coming. Jun simply dragged Ohno by his hand, bringing him to his car, to a safer place. And once inside, he kept his face down; trying to hide the fact he was going to cry.

It was warm inside the car, a complete opposite of what Jun was feeling. It was even warmer when Ohno wrapped his arms around Jun, even through the shivering.

“Mom told me about it Jun. Mom told me about the phone call. Miyuki came to see me with Suzuki. They told me everything too. Why? Why didn’t you just tell me everything?”

“What? What should I tell you? What should I say? Should I tell you, Hey Riida, your mother wants me to be away from you. ? Or should I say, I do not ever want to break up with you, but I have to anyway so I’m paying a woman to kiss me, and God it tasted awful but please break up with me any-“

It was nothing like their first kiss. Nothing likes their second or third kisses either. It was breath taking in a way that only a sun dawning can have. It was blissful in a way only a storm can be. It was hot in a way only a winter can provide. It was beautiful, reminded Jun of a stolen painting, amazing, but forbidden.

“I love you Jun. Don’t leave me. Don’t ever ever ever leave me. No matter what anyone says, no matter who they are, no matter how the world looks at us, please, don’t leave me.”

“I love you Ohno. I love you so much.” Jun wanted to say those words so badly, but somehow he couldn’t. He could only cry harder, clinging to Ohno as if he was his lifeline, crumpling Ohno’s shirt as he fisted it, bringing Ohno closer to him.

“Promise me Jun. Just one thing. Promise me, you’ll never leave me.”

“I do. I do. I promise you Ohno I do. I love you. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry for all I’ve done. Oh my God. Ohno. I thought I was going to die. I… I… I’m just so sorry.”

The kisses that followed were sweet and salty. Sweet from the reconciliation, from the new understanding developed between the two of them; from the new ground they are basing their relationship; and salty from the tears of the sweetness that they shared together.

It was morning, the sunlight was bright, almost blinding, when Jun woke up to a sea of hair right on his face. It was still slightly cold, even if the rain had stopped. And when Jun looked closely, he saw something beautiful, something he knew he wanted to share with someone he loves so much.

“Ohno. Wake up. Look there. It’s beautiful.”

When Ohno refused, Nothing can be more beautiful and worth losing my sleep than you, Jun smiled. He carefully embedded the memory of Ohno in his arms; of them together in the back seat as close as any two different people can be; and of the rainbow that showed up that morning after the storm into his mind. It was enough for him to remember that moment, for the both of them.

“Hey Riida, yesterday I was thinking of all the first things we did together, and how it doesn’t end up being the only time - "

“This is the first and the last time we would ever break up and that is final.”

“I know silly.”

“Good.”

“I just wanted to say, this is the first time we spent a night together outside our house, at a place you and I both love, the sea.”

“And it’s definitely not the last. The captain wouldn’t mind me borrowing his boat if you want to try doing it on boat.”

Baka, Jun thought, expressed with a smack on Ohno’s head, but smiled and agreed anyway. He wouldn’t mind waking up to the smell of Ohno’s hair and the sea at the same time over and over again.

End

Was rather rushed during the ending.I got stuck writing the sequel for the angst Juntoshi previously.Blame it on LR making of. ;p Wrote this instead because FT Island was such an angsty song.
