Three things...

Thing the First: My K/S recs have moved. The masterlist of d00m is getting too unwieldy, so I've been thinking about switching to just using my delicious list for a while now. However, then the Delicious Incident happened, and it's currently all but useless, and I thought dammit, if you want something done right you just have to do it yourself...

It was SO COOL. If they do it again next year you totally have to try to be there!

Having just finally got around to watching GoT - darth_hamster and I had a viewing marathon over the weekend* - I am now very, very envious indeed re Titancon! I see 2012 is being planned so perhaps I'll finally get to visit Norn Iron after all...**

* She now wants a direwolf, although not having read the books she was a bit horrified at the end of episode 2.
** Visiting NI or the Republic was pretty much right out for me whilst I was still in uniform, so I've been meaning to go ever since I became a civvy.

Yay, you've been assimilated!

I keep asking fadagaski if I can have a direwolf and she keep saying no. She won't let me have a dragon either, the big meanie.

Sigh. Some people just don't understand your needs, do they? And I'll bet the landlord would have some tedious quibble about fire insurance too.

I was/am a major, major, major Phantom Phan - I am green with jealousy...! What an awesome experience.

I did three POTA zines in the 90s - they're still some of my favorites of all the zines I've ever done.

>>>If you're lucky enough to live in the US, Canada or Australia, I believe they're repeating the cinema screenings throughout October.

I'm going tomorrow! I have the tickets already.

>>>The rest of us have to wait until November 14th, when it's being released on DVD!!! I am ridiculously excited about this, because there's never been a filmed version of the musical (staged, I mean;

I am *so* with you; a filmed version of the staged Phantom has been in the topmost portion of my fantasy wish list for DVDs, and yay! it's about to come true.

>>>there's the 2004 movie, but the less said about that the better).

Yes. I'm not saying one word more about that movie.

Yay tomorrow! I can't wait!

OMG I had no idea you were a phan! And you did zines! That's so cool, how did I not know that??? Were they E/C, and if so are they still in print?

I am SO JEALOUS that you get to see this on the big screen. They only did the live screening here, which is so frustrating. Not that seeing it live wasn't awesome, but I imagine it's quite a different experience. I hope it comes across as well as it did at the RAH - I would love to know what you think of it, so I know what to expect from the DVD.

Yes. I'm not saying one word more about that movie.

You know, to be fair I loved it visually, I just wish they'd cast trained singers instead of some random pretty-boy. And, you know, made him a bit more disfigured than a slight case of sunburn. I have wondered whether it would be worth dubbing the movie with the original cast recording, but I suspect matching it up properly is beyond my technical skill. And now we don't have to, because we're getting a proper one, yay!!!

Have a fabulous time, and please tell me all about it!

Pinboard. Allows import of Delicious data and the owner is actively working to meet the needs of the fanfic audience, including asking for feature suggestions. Brilliant website, couldn't do without it.

I'm aware of the alternatives, but they all have drawbacks so why use them when I can have something that does exactly what I want it to?

Given your tweets over the last few days, I'd say 'less effort', but if you want to do it yourself, I wouldn't want to be the one to get in your way! :)
