Very well said Emily. And you know so many people out there relate with you when you say, "i'm not chinese enough to be chinese, and i'm not american enough to be american."

Isn't it awesome to look back and see how much things have change and how much you've grown? Life's crazy - often too crazy for some of us. It drags us in all while we're kicking and screaming and trying to get away. But hey, we're all managing...or at least trying...somewhat.

Hope Santa Cruz gets better. We'll see if my funds can accomodate for another trip up north soon. But not too soon. Hehe. We'll see.

Take care.

It’s coincidental that you wrote this entry because I’m writing a personal essay on cultural identity. Remember The Joy Luck Club? In it, Lindo says, “I wanted my children to have the best combination: American circumstances and Chinese character. How could I know these two things do not mix?” My thesis is along the lines of: “At the end, the questions hang heavily in the air for countless immigrant families: Who and what has changed? Why? How? To what end? Who are we now and what are we to become?” Do we classify ourselves as Korean/Chinese-American or American-Korean/Chinese?

Yea… still writing the paper but I’ll be sure to let your read it to you when I'm finished. :]

Oh, and I’m not going to write in my online journal anymore. My last entry will be coming soon.

And yes. I love music. :D

Take care of yourself. Cos otherwise, I’m gonna have to kill you. ;]
