Try this, it works for me when I remember to do it. Turn down all the lights about two hours before bed time, I use nightlights in my dining room and bath. Don't use the computer withing two hours of bed time and if you watch the telly keep the sound fairly low.
It really works to quiet your brain and get your sleep hormone flowing.
