Kyuhyun sneakily looked again at the rolled paper, a grin making its way to his face, making sure that he didn’t hallucinate or imagine that “HE” was the one he picked up for the exchange gift for their Christmas party.
‘Jongwoon aka Yesung’ was nicely written in that small piece of paper.
'Perfect,' he looked at the person and saw the other staring at him, making Yesung awkwardly smile then look away with cheeks tainted with a light blush while he put his own piece of paper in his wallet.
Kyuhyun smiled after seeing Yesung staring at him so he started humming a Christmas song only to be interrupted by Donghae.
“Hey Kyuhyun! Who did you pick? Who did you pick?” Donghae enthusiastically asked to the younger.
Kyuhyun just smiled, “It’s a secret~”
“Oh you’re no fun! Why don’t you want to tell me? I’ll tell you who I picked up then tell me who you picked up.”
“No, I don’t want to. I bet Eunhyuk Hyung is the one you picked up.”
“EH?! How did you know?! Are you spying on me?”
“Hello Lee Donghae, how can I not guess who you picked up? After looking at your paper you started giggling like a girl with the blushing part. And you even danced your way to your seat,” Kyuhyun rolled his eyes.
Donghae pouted, “I was planning to deceive you on who I picked. I guess I’ll use physical strength to know who is the person you will give a present to,” with that said Donghae tried to get the paper in Kyuhyun’s hand.
Kyuhyun stood up and raised his hand away from the older, “Don’t do that Hyung.”
Donghae tried reaching again by going to the raised hand and clinging into Kyuhyun.
“If you look at my paper Hyung you will be on Santa’s naughty list!” with that said Donghae effectively stopped what he was doing.
“I’ll be on the naughty list?” Donghae said with a scared tone.
“Yeah that is right, and you will not get what you want this Christmas,” Kyuhyun said as he hid the paper in his wallet, “You don’t want that Donghae Hyung right?”
“Okay,” Donghae grinned, “I’ll behave now. By the way I saw Yesung Hyung looking at this direction earlier...”
Kyuhyun sheepishly smiled about to say, ‘Ah, I don’t know if I was picked by Jongwoon Hyung,’ but hearing what Donghae said next stopped him.
“... I think he is looking at Kibum. Did he pick Kibum for the exchange gifts?”
Kyuhyun glanced at Kibum and saw him sitting to his adjacent side.
So the reason for Yesung blushing was either: A. He is looking at Kyuhyun and romantically blushed because he caught him or B. He is looking at Kibum and embarrassingly blushed because Kyuhyun caught him staring.
Kyuhyun crossed his fingers while he chant in his mind, ‘Let it be A. Let it be A. Let it be A.’
Donghae imitated what he is doing and started chanting loudly, “I’ll be in Santa’s nice list... I’ll be in Santa’s nice list...”
Kyuhyun glared to the other before standing up and getting his bag, “I’m leaving now,” making Yesung look at the younger.
“Eh? But where are you going Kyuhyun?” Donghae asked.
“I’m going to look for a gift to give to the person that I picked up,” he glimpsed at Yesung, catching the other was looking at him, “I will not be going home with you today Jongwoon Hyung.” After earning a nod from Yesung he waved and started walking out of their homeroom.
Donghae hurriedly got his bag from his seat and ran after him while mumbling something about him needing to buy a gift too.
When the two were gone Yesung made his way to Kibum, “Kibum what will I do? What will I do? I picked Kyuhyun!”
Kibum looked up to see Yesung fidgeting in his place, “Isn’t it nice? You don’t have to buy another gift for Kyuhyun.”
“Eh?”
“I know that if you didn’t picked up Kyuhyun’s name you will still buy him a gift.”
“H-How did you know?” Yesung was surprised. He hasn’t told anyone about it, not even his best friend Kibum.
Kibum gave him a crooked smile, “Just guessing, plus I know that you will investigate who picked up Kyuhyun's name and you will ask that person to give your gift to Kyuhyun without telling it's from you.”
With that said, Yesung blushed.
“Really Hyung, you need to gather your courage to tell him your feelings. I’m pretty sure he is thinking something inappropriate earlier.”
“Huh?”
“It’s nothing,” Kibum said as he gathered his things, “Why don’t you just start looking for the perfect gift for your Kyuhyun?”
Yesung lightly hit Kibum on the shoulder as the blushing spree continued.

Kyuhyun has been looking for almost an hour in the mall to find the gift for Yesung. Even though they have been really close with each other, he was not sure on what to give the older one.
While on the other hand Donghae was having trouble bringing all the stuff he brought for Eunhyuk such as monkey pillow, mug, shirt and even the straw hat Eunhyuk’s favourite anime character was wearing.
“Hey Kyuhyun what are you planning to give the person you picked?”
“I’m not sure yet.”
“Oh I think it would look perfect on him,” Donghae said as he pointed on a Santa Clause costume for girls.
“Jongwoon Hyung will kill me if I give him that kind of gift...”
“AHA! So it’s Yesung Hyung that you picked!”
“You!!!! DONGHAE HYUNG!!!! WAIT! Don’t tell anyone!!!!”
“I won’t tell anyone! Oh I know, I know! The gift for Yesung Hyung~”
“What?”
“Why don’t you give Hyung yourself with a red ribbon?! But I’m not sure if Yesung Hyung will like that gift,” Donghae laughed.
Kyuhyun hit Donghae in the shoulder and laughed sarcastically, “That is so funny Hyung.”
“Why? Aren’t you planning on confessing your feelings yet? After all the opportunities given to you?”
“I can’t confess to Hyung yet...”
“What if he already got another person...”
Kyuhyun hushed Donghae, “Don’t continue that... or I’ll tell Eunhyuk Hyung who picked him up for the exchange gifts.”
Donghae looked threatened by the words that Kyuhyun said that he put an imaginary zipper on his mouth to keep his mouth shut.
‘I wonder if he’ll rather receive something useful or some decorative things,’ Kyuhyun thought as he continued looking around for something that will catch his interest. ‘All I know is that Hyung got a lot of interest...’ While looking at a certain gift shop he couldn’t help but stare at a headphone necklace at the display.
“What a nice necklace...” Donghae said as he saw what Kyuhyun was looking at, “I think it would suit Yesung Hyung since he got a nice voice.”
“A beautiful voice,” Kyuhyun corrected Donghae, “That is why the nickname ‘Yesung’ really suits Jongwoon Hyung.”
“Oh yes! I almost forgot that Yesung is just his nickname... Well Kyuhyun is the only one calling Yesung Hyung by the real name.”
“I love the nickname Yesung but I love more Hyung’s real name... Jongwoon.”
“And you love the man itself the most!”
Kyuhyun smacked Donghae on the back while a blush is creeping on his cheeks, “Can’t you just shut up Hyung?”
“Well what I’m saying is true!”
“Just be quite Hyung and act like someone older than me,” Both of them entered the store and Kyuhyun already inquired for the necklace.
“Oh such a pretty pick,” the dimpled shop assistant said, “It is one of a kind!”
“Um... thank you...” Kyuhyun read the name plate of the assistant, “Leeteuk...”
“Wow Kyuhyun...”Donghae started talking again, “You are willing to buy something like that? Something so expensive?”
“Well it’s for Jongwoon Hyung...”
“Oh! I’m so sorry! That is not the real price!” the man named Leeteuk bowed and changed the original price to half.
“Eh? Only half the original price? Why?” Donghae asked while he and Kyuhyun waited for the answer.
Leeteuk pointed to the both the earpieces of the headphone, “As you can see something is supposed to be attached here that why it have holes in the earpieces... but we don’t have that in our store...”
‘Intriguing,’ Kyuhyun thought, “That’s fine, it doesn’t look broken without its pair.” He got his money and paid for the said necklace, “and all I want to give Jongwoon Hyung is the headphones.”
“Why?” Donghae asked.
“Well Jongwoon is the one bringing music to my life,” Kyuhyun smiled as Leeteuk finished wrapping the gift. After saying thank you “Oh, let us check out the game store before we go home,” he said to Donghae.

Yesung started to get dizzy as he looked at the million games he can choose from, “Kibum... what will I buy for Kyuhyun?”
“You don’t have any idea?” Kibum who was looking at a gaming magazine didn’t even need to look at Yesung’s face to see desperation in it.
“Umm... Starcraft and Diablo? Well that is the game we are talking about recently. Wait... he also mentioned about the newly released PSP games the other day but doesn’t he want the book about the certain game that he likes last week?” Yesung continued babbling, “So what will I give him?”
Kibum gave him another crooked smile, “All I can say is that you two talk too much with each other.”
“Eh?!” Yesung shook his head, “We only talk whenever we got the opportunity to do so.”
“Which is a lot ever since you stumbled yourself to him. Let me enumerate. You two are seatmates during the Math and Science period. You two belong to the same club, the music club, which got meetings every MWF, got the same cleaning duties day, eat together lunch every day, go home together even though you two...”
“Okay, I get it, I get it!” Yesung suddenly looked panicked, “Kyuhyun! Kyuhyun is somewhere near! I need to hide!”
“Huh? Kyuhyun? How did you know?”
“I just know silly! Hurry and...” Yesung wasn’t able to finish what he is saying because Kyuhyun and Donghae already saw them inside the store.
“Hey Hyung and Kibum!” Donghae said as he tried his best to wave his hands while carrying all his stuffs, “What are you doing here? ... OH! Buying gifts too?!”
Kyuhyun didn’t said anything as he stared at Yesung who was laughing nervously at the moment, “Ha ha ha, you got it Donghae!”
“So Kibum is really the one you picked up for the exchange gifts?!”
“EH?!” shouted Yesung.
“Huh?” Kibum remained as calm as ever.
While Kyuhyun was wearing an ‘I’m-gonna-kill-you-Lee-Donghae’ look.
“Isn’t it supposed to be a secret?” Kibum asked.
“Oh yeah... secret...ha... ha...” Donghae said as he scarily looked at Kyuhyun who was still glaring at him.
Yesung coughed getting the attention of the three, “Well, Kibum and I must go now! Bye Donghae and Kyuhyun!”
Yesung started dragging Kibum, who seems to just go with the flow, until they were at least 10 meters away from the two.
“How are you now supposed to buy a gift for Kyuhyun now?” Kibum asked as he straightened his shirt.
“I don’t know...” Yesung started panicking again walking back and forth, ‘Maybe after some while Kyuhyun will not be in the store anymore and I can...’ his thoughts stopped when he saw something inside a store sparkled. When he came nearer the store he has confirmed what sparkled. It’s a 'world' designed necklace and in an instant he can only think of one person, ‘Kyuhyun’.
“You will buy that Hyung?” Kibum asked after following Yesung and seeing what the other is looking at.
“It’s perfect for Kyuhyun...” Yesung immediately entered the store to be greeted by a tough looking man with the nameplate, ‘Kangin.’
“Do you want something?”
“Oh yes. That one,” Yesung pointed at the necklace he is admiring earlier.
Kangin smiled and got what he pointed at.
“Is that a defect?” Kibum asked as he pointed at the two extra circles at both sides of the ‘world’ necklace.
“No it isn’t. It was supposed to be put on something, it got a pair. But sadly it isn’t at this store... would you want to have another?”
Yesung shook his head and smiled, “No need. This is what I really wanted. I’m going to pay it now.”
As Kangin did the wrapping, Yesung heard Kibum asked, “Why something like that?”
Yesung bowed and thanked Kangin after he got his gift for Kyuhyun and answered Kibum with a smile and a blush, “Well, Kyuhyun meant the world for me.”

The day of the Christmas party came and it’s already time for the exchange gift. Kyuhyun was standing beside Donghae, who had been admiring Eunhyuk and his new hairstyle for a whole day, while Yesung was beside Kibum, who read a book.
“Okay everyone for the last part of the party,” the teacher, Heechul, started speaking again, “I want you to go to the person that you picked up and give his or presents already! No more speeches or cheesy stuffs! Or else I’ll be late in meeting my Geng!”
“Yes teacher!” The students laughed before doing what Heechul said.
All of them moved except Kyuhyun and Yesung.
Nervousness was still painted in Kyuhyun’s face because he’s still not too sure who Yesung picked up.
Kibum made his way to Kyuhyun and whispered, “He didn’t picked me, silly,” before going to Siwon’s direction and giving his gift to the other.
Kyuhyun gave off a relieved sigh before seeing Yesung stumbling his way to his side wearing that smile he loved the most, “H-Hey Kyuhyun!”
“Yes Jongwoon Hyung?” Kyuhyun happily asked, a smile gracing his face too.
“Ah... it’s that... I... ah...” Yesung doesn’t know what to do afterwards anymore after seeing Kyuhyun’s smile.
“Will you like to go somewhere else?” Kyuhyun asked as he offered his hand to Yesung knowing that the other must be so tensed and nervous at the moment.
“Sure!” Yesung smiled again as he got Kyuhyun’s hand as they went out of the room.

When they reached the garden of the school Yesung tightened his hold on Kyuhyun’s hand and shouted, “I’m the one who picked you up Kyuhyun!”
“Well due to some work of fate or destiny I’m the one who picked you up Jongwoon Hyung.”
“Eh?! Really? No kidding?”
Kyuhyun nodded, “I almost thought that Kibum is the one you picked.”
“He is just helping me buy a gift for you...”
“Why Hyung? You don’t know what I like?”
“Of course I know! We always talk and hang out with each other that I know almost everything about you.”
“Are you sure you know everything?”
Yesung tilted his head, “Yes, I’m pretty much sure. I know you from the tip of your hair to the fingernails of your feet.”
“That I like the color blue?”
“Yes”
“That I like wine?”
Yesung nods.
Kyuhyun smiled at Yesung again, “Even the fact that I like you?”
“Y-Ye....,” Yesung’s eyes widened, “Y-You like me?!”
Kyuhyun nodded.
Yesung stared at the younger not believing what he just heard because he got plenty of dreams like this, Kyuhyun with him confessing how much he loves Yesung and how will they live happily ever after.
“Am I sleeping?” Yesung asked making Kyuhyun laugh.
Kyuhyun pinched Yesung’s cheek, “I’m pretty sure we are both not sleeping.”
“Then... this is true?? I’m not dreaming or imagining things?”
“Of course you’re not dreaming Jongwoon Hyung. I have always liked you even before we hang out and I had missed a lot of opportunities to confess my feelings for you so...” Kyuhyun opened his gift and showed it to Yesung, “For you Jongwoon, who brings music to me since I met you.”
“Wait! My gift!” Yesung clumsily got his gift from his pocket and showed it to Kyuhyun.
“World?”
Yesung smiled, “Kyuhyun meant the world to me, ever since the day I fell for you, well you can take it literally since I really fell over you due to my clumsiness.”
Kyuhyun grinned, “So do you like me too Jongwoon?”
‘He’s not addressing me Hyung anymore,’ Yesung blushed even more, “I l-like you Kyuhyun.”
“I like you too Jongwoon. Let me put the necklace on you.”
After Kyuhyun put Yesung’s necklace he put his own.
Yesung couldn’t help but praise himself for buying that gift for Kyuhyun since it really looked good with Kyuhyun but too bad it’s loosing it’s pair.... “Wait a minute!”
“Huh?”
Yesung looked at Kyuhyun’s gift to him that was hanging around his neck seeing holes and to the necklace hanging on Kyuhyun’s neck.
Even without words escaping Yesung’s mouth Kyuhyun can get what was the other thinking so he held his necklace and got closer to Yesung to see if their intuition was correct.
Yesung held his necklace and placed it on Kyuhyun’s. With a click their necklaces fit each other giving an image of a pair of headphones surrounding the globe of the world.
The two of them smiled at each other before enveloping themselves in a hug.
It was not just an exchange of gifts but also an exchange of hearts.
“To let the world listen to our music.”

“Okay, I get it, I get it!” Yesung suddenly looked panicked, “Kyuhyun! Kyuhyun is somewhere near! I need to hide!”
“Huh? Kyuhyun? How did you know?”
“I just know silly! Hurry and...” Yesung wasn’t able to finish what he is saying because Kyuhyun and Donghae already saw them inside the store.
“Hey Hyung and Kibum!” Donghae said as he tried his best to wave his hands while carrying all his stuffs, “What are you doing here? ... OH! Buying gifts too?!”
Kyuhyun didn’t said anything as he stared at Yesung who was laughing nervously at the moment, “Ha ha ha, you got it Donghae!”
“So Kibum is really the one you picked up for the exchange gifts?!”
“EH?!” shouted Yesung.
“Huh?” Kibum remained as calm as ever.
While Kyuhyun was wearing an ‘I’m-gonna-kill-you-Lee-Donghae’ look.
“Isn’t it supposed to be a secret?” Kibum asked.
“Oh yeah... secret...ha... ha...” Donghae said as he scarily looked at Kyuhyun who was still glaring at him.
Yesung coughed getting the attention of the three, “Well, Kibum and I must go now! Bye Donghae and Kyuhyun!”
Yesung started dragging Kibum, who seems to just go with the flow, until they were at least 10 meters away from the two.
“How are you now supposed to buy a gift for Kyuhyun now?” Kibum asked as he straightened his shirt.
“I don’t know...” Yesung started panicking again walking back and forth, ‘Maybe after some while Kyuhyun will not be in the store anymore and I can...’ his thoughts stopped when he saw something inside a store sparkled. When he came nearer the store he has confirmed what sparkled. It’s a 'world' designed necklace and in an instant he can only think of one person, ‘Kyuhyun’.
“You will buy that Hyung?” Kibum asked after following Yesung and seeing what the other is looking at.
“It’s perfect for Kyuhyun...” Yesung immediately entered the store to be greeted by a tough looking man with the nameplate, ‘Kangin.’
“Do you want something?”
“Oh yes. That one,” Yesung pointed at the necklace he is admiring earlier.
Kangin smiled and got what he pointed at.
“Is that a defect?” Kibum asked as he pointed at the two extra circles at both sides of the ‘world’ necklace.
“No it isn’t. It was supposed to be put on something, it got a pair. But sadly it isn’t at this store... would you want to have another?”
Yesung shook his head and smiled, “No need. This is what I really wanted. I’m going to pay it now.”
As Kangin did the wrapping, Yesung heard Kibum asked, “Why something like that?”
Yesung bowed and thanked Kangin after he got his gift for Kyuhyun and answered Kibum with a smile and a blush, “Well, Kyuhyun meant the world for me.”

The day of the Christmas party came and it’s already time for the exchange gift. Kyuhyun was standing beside Donghae, who had been admiring Eunhyuk and his new hairstyle for a whole day, while Yesung was beside Kibum, who read a book.
“Okay everyone for the last part of the party,” the teacher, Heechul, started speaking again, “I want you to go to the person that you picked up and give his or presents already! No more speeches or cheesy stuffs! Or else I’ll be late in meeting my Geng!”
“Yes teacher!” The students laughed before doing what Heechul said.
All of them moved except Kyuhyun and Yesung.
Nervousness was still painted in Kyuhyun’s face because he’s still not too sure who Yesung picked up.
Kibum made his way to Kyuhyun and whispered, “He didn’t picked me, silly,” before going to Siwon’s direction and giving his gift to the other.
Kyuhyun gave off a relieved sigh before seeing Yesung stumbling his way to his side wearing that smile he loved the most, “H-Hey Kyuhyun!”
“Yes Jongwoon Hyung?” Kyuhyun happily asked, a smile gracing his face too.
“Ah... it’s that... I... ah...” Yesung doesn’t know what to do afterwards anymore after seeing Kyuhyun’s smile.
“Will you like to go somewhere else?” Kyuhyun asked as he offered his hand to Yesung knowing that the other must be so tensed and nervous at the moment.
“Sure!” Yesung smiled again as he got Kyuhyun’s hand as they went out of the room.

When they reached the garden of the school Yesung tightened his hold on Kyuhyun’s hand and shouted, “I’m the one who picked you up Kyuhyun!”
“Well due to some work of fate or destiny I’m the one who picked you up Jongwoon Hyung.”
“Eh?! Really? No kidding?”
Kyuhyun nodded, “I almost thought that Kibum is the one you picked.”
“He is just helping me buy a gift for you...”
“Why Hyung? You don’t know what I like?”
“Of course I know! We always talk and hang out with each other that I know almost everything about you.”
“Are you sure you know everything?”
Yesung tilted his head, “Yes, I’m pretty much sure. I know you from the tip of your hair to the fingernails of your feet.”
“That I like the color blue?”
“Yes”
“That I like wine?”
Yesung nods.
Kyuhyun smiled at Yesung again, “Even the fact that I like you?”
“Y-Ye....,” Yesung’s eyes widened, “Y-You like me?!”
Kyuhyun nodded.
Yesung stared at the younger not believing what he just heard because he got plenty of dreams like this, Kyuhyun with him confessing how much he loves Yesung and how will they live happily ever after.
“Am I sleeping?” Yesung asked making Kyuhyun laugh.
Kyuhyun pinched Yesung’s cheek, “I’m pretty sure we are both not sleeping.”
“Then... this is true?? I’m not dreaming or imagining things?”
“Of course you’re not dreaming Jongwoon Hyung. I have always liked you even before we hang out and I had missed a lot of opportunities to confess my feelings for you so...” Kyuhyun opened his gift and showed it to Yesung, “For you Jongwoon, who brings music to me since I met you.”
“Wait! My gift!” Yesung clumsily got his gift from his pocket and showed it to Kyuhyun.
“World?”
Yesung smiled, “Kyuhyun meant the world to me, ever since the day I fell for you, well you can take it literally since I really fell over you due to my clumsiness.”
Kyuhyun grinned, “So do you like me too Jongwoon?”
‘He’s not addressing me Hyung anymore,’ Yesung blushed even more, “I l-like you Kyuhyun.”
“I like you too Jongwoon. Let me put the necklace on you.”
After Kyuhyun put Yesung’s necklace he put his own.
Yesung couldn’t help but praise himself for buying that gift for Kyuhyun since it really looked good with Kyuhyun but too bad it’s loosing it’s pair.... “Wait a minute!”
“Huh?”
Yesung looked at Kyuhyun’s gift to him that was hanging around his neck seeing holes and to the necklace hanging on Kyuhyun’s neck.
Even without words escaping Yesung’s mouth Kyuhyun can get what was the other thinking so he held his necklace and got closer to Yesung to see if their intuition was correct.
Yesung held his necklace and placed it on Kyuhyun’s. With a click their necklaces fit each other giving an image of a pair of headphones surrounding the globe of the world.
The two of them smiled at each other before enveloping themselves in a hug.
It was not just an exchange of gifts but also an exchange of hearts.
“To let the world listen to our music.”
