Hi. I have a friend who just went to a rheumy appointment, after waiting three months (!) to get in, which is ridiculous in and of itself. Anyway, she brought a condensed version of her pain journal and described the pain she has, and the doctor basically dismissed her with the equivalent of a pat on the head, "oh how cute she thinks she knows

I just moved and started off with a horrible rheumatologist who ultimately ended up taking me off all my meds for a but and I ended up in great pain, which was *awesome*. What I did was set up an appointment with a new rheumie and I kept seeing the crappy guy while I waited. At least he was giving me some meds, which was better than nothing...although he did take me off everything for about a month because of some slightly off blood work (he ignored me when I repeatedly told him I had a cold virus when the bloodwork was done and that may have caused a bad WBC level
