I can't believe June is already over. The month went by so fast, but I really feel like I haven't gotten much done. Did do some reading which is always good. So here are the books for June rated out of 5 stars and divided by my own crazy mind into some way to distinguish the books.

I think Hastings still has a copy of S.S. Astro, which I highly recommend. It's a high-school hijinx manga, but it focuses on the teachers, not the students! It was a hoot, and I hope that more turn up.

Also, I'm pretty psyched about Yen Plus. As you may know, manga in Japan are published in magazines, an episode at a time, with several serials running concurrently in a magazine. Here in America, we haven't really had that, until now. Yen Plus is such an anthology magazine, and has some pretty good serials running in it. Unlike the Japanese magazines, it's not tightly focused on one audience or type of story, but the market isn't really established enough here for that, yet. I'm just excited to have a manga venue that's ours!
