He’s on his side, resting his head on one hand, studying her face, their bodies pressed together, skin to skin.
He caresses her cheek, across the line of her jaw to her neck, down to the hollow of her throat. He feels her delicate fingers work their way through his hair as he bends to kiss the spot he had just traced with his finger.
Their gazes lock as his hand roams over her, slowly, tenderly. He feels a familiar tickle in the back of his mind. They don’t speak; they don’t need to. She touches his mind as gently as his hand touches her body.
For now, the ‘verse is perfect.
