Aren't they? We had a guinea pig once, too. My brother and father couldn't agree on a name until my brother said "Freddy", for Freddy Krueger. Dad said fine, he'd just pretend it was for Fred Flintstone. I vaguely remember a gerbil named Penelope, too.

Did you name it Alfred randomly, or was there a reason behind it?

Yay -- it's good to know the nudge thing works. LOL. Though I'm sorry you've not been well. Know you have my best thoughts.

I'm partial to Bingo. I once had a dog named Pogo, after the old comic strip, and he was the meanest little S.O.B. on the planet... ;)

Aww, you're such a sweetie. Thanks for the kind thoughts; it's lovely to know I've got caring people out there thinkin' of me. :)

What kind of dog was Pogo? My father said he had a chihuahua (sp?) when he was a kid, and it was a nasty little thing. I'm torn on this. Either the breed has nasty tendencies, or the people who have them tend to treat them like babies because of their size, which can have a negative effect on their personality.

I'm somewhat partial to Bingo, too. I've been addicted to Bingo as long as I can remember. There's just something about scanning 5 or 12 or 20 cards for the right number and placing a little marker on it. G 54! Woo!
Of course, it'll depend on what my new furball looks and acts like that makes the final decision. I may choose something completely different.
