OMG. i had practically the SAME experience on Friday night. except (now get this...) it was at a fucking skincare party. yes, you read that right. i go to this skincare/make-up party at one of my colleagues' house, and just about everyone there is drinking wine and beer. even the older people there (grandmas and shit). i DO NOT drink and drive, ever. so i'm sitting there swilling a Coke and everyone else is getting that "loosened up, talky-talky, laughy-laughy" vibe going on that makes me very nervous anyway, and i am feeling like the fat, ugly square little wallflower i felt like in college. another of my colleagues was there, and the minute she walked through the door she announced (to a majority of people she didn't know): "OMG, I NEED A DRINK!"
