Took Schmendrick back to the vet yesterday. The appointment was at 2:30, so I came home from work early, and he already seemed perkier (I hadn't given him any methimazole since Tuesday morning), and it looked like he'd eaten a bit. Poor Schmendrick-kitty. I hope he feels better soon.

I remember when Pixel was going through kidney failure and throwing up, the vet recommended half a tablet of Pepcid AC so he could eat; it didn't work that well, unfortunately, because no matter how much I mashed it up into the special prescription food that he initially liked, he could smell it and refused to eat. But the few times I managed to jam it down his throat, he didn't throw up after eating.

Maybe Pepcid will help soothe Schmendrick's tummy?
