Sometimes my wireless router and laptop quit communicating. This usually fixes it --

1. Unplug modem and router.

2. After 5 minutes, plug in modem.

3. After another 5 minutes, plug in router.

Might not help, but doesn't hurt to try.

4. If that doesn't work, go to Control Panel, open Network Connections, right-click on the appropriate connection icon, and select 'Repair'.

If you're still routerless, I'm sorry, I have no other suggestions.

Good luck.

Thank you for this - I'll definitely try that if it happens again!

As it turns out, my cable company was just having a hiccup and whatever was preventing my router from communicating with my laptop just... fixed itself. I think it was all the rain we had Sunday night -- it happens occasionally (my phone cut out, too, but it came back a few minutes later) but it never took that long to come back, so that's why I thought something was wrong with the router.
