This is beautiful and sad and sweet and I *love* dumbstruck Ned just kind of awkwardly watching in an OMG sort of way. (And then helping her out and excusing himself was just so...awkward insecurity. Adorable.)

Also, this line is so sad and just perfect:

Thank-you so much! That was a line that I was pretty proud of, so I'm really glad that it worked. I can never tell if I'm putting too much emphasis on the ~*~SHADOWS~*~ between these two, and the pain that their insecurities bring them.

And heeeeeee, the mental image of Ned watching, all awkward and fascinated, was about 90% of the reason I lunged straight for this prompt (even if it took like 8 months to write XD).

Oh, yeah, I totally buy him as a voyeur. Not in a creepy way, just kind of OMG THIS IS HOT I WOULD RUIN IT IF I SPOKE. Whereas I kind of think Cat would watch for a moment and then be like, hey, need some help with that?
