The cat just killed a mouse. This is amazing, as he's old and slow and "has not too many teeth," as the vet puts it. There was a sound in the kitchen and then he came out to the living room making muffled meowing noises and carrying the mouse. Then he decided to drop it on the floor and start batting it around. Aw, sweet! Cats like giving you presents, I hope you acted grateful! Seriously, otherwise they'll try kill something bigger 'til you're happy. It's like, we feed them so they try feed us and teach us to hunt. Maybe that's what he was demonstrating to you?

But he didn't bring it to me. He went and dropped it on the floor in a different section of the room and started batting it around like a toy. And, luckily, he doesn't have any interest in going outisde anymore, so he'd have a very hard time finding larger things to kill.

Reminds me of the time our cat thought it would be humorous to bring in a bird he killed and put it in his food dish. Needless to say, that was a meal that he didn't partake in for very long.

But hey, at least the mouse was all right. And see you soon! :)
