Mom's mayoral election didn't quite go the way we wanted it to. Still it was my family first entry into politics-aside from my failed Student Council President election in 9th grade.

sorry your mom didn't win. i lived in edmond from 2002 through 2004, so i know exactly what you mean about the politics up there. :)
