Everyone trendy is making bullet journals ;-). But sarcasm aside, journalling these things does help get a good perspective on them, if you have a little time each day you're prepared to commit to recording stuff. I'm doing a combined gratitude/mood/pain/sleep thing and it gives me more of a real indication of triggers and patterns as well as forcing me to CBT my reluctant brain a bit.
I find that when I feel like I've accomplished something (either at work or at home), particularly if it's something I've done without any procrastination and didn't have to force myself to do, that leads to me feeling better in general and being a lot more motivated to do other things.

I've struggled to stick with a regular food/exercise/mood journal. I will think about trying.
